About Inspirational Speaker Rolf Funk:

Faith That Soars is an inspirational ministry that came about as a result of God’s work in one man’s life. Rolf Funk, at the time of his devastating ski accident, was at top of his game. He competed at a National and International level throughout the US and Europe and was a contender for the 1960 Olympic games.

Rolf-Funk-2cIn 1995, Rolf just finished training, and was on his last run for the day when he hit a mogul field unexpectedly at very high speed. He was instantly rendered unconscious and was rushed down the hill to Breckenridge Medical Center, which in turn, air-lifted him to Swedish Hospital in Denver, where the doctors began the race to save Rolf’s life. It was discovered that he had broken his neck at the C4-C5 vertebrae with displacement and underwent 5 hours of intensive surgery.

The rate of recovery from an injury such as this is almost unheard of.  Rolf focused on his relationship with God, and within the first week he sensed in his heart a healing taking place. Instead of conceding to the incredible odds, Rolf clung to his faith in God, knowing that a miracle was taking place in his life. His heart and mind were touched, because of the boundless prayer offered up by churches and friends all over the US and Canada.

After 11 days of intensive care, Rolf was transferred next door to Craig Hospital where he was to undergo 3-4 months of rehabilitation. He was advised at that time to manage his expectations and that they hardly ever see people walk out of the recovery center. Miraculously, 10 days later, Rolf was released to begin intensive rehab at Breckenridge medical center, and had already taken his first step… Literally.

Today, Rolf enjoys sharing his powerful testimony of God’s healing power with audiences across the US and Europe through his documentary “Miracle on the mountain” and anointed musical ministry. Through the Faith That Soars ministry, Rolf brings not just unequivocable proof of God’s healing touch and the power of prayer, but also hope for those that find themselves needing God’s miraculous  touch.

In 2000, Rolf was invited as a guest to the national prayer breakfast in Washington, DC and was also honored in the House of Representatives. He was publicly offered tribute and congratulated on his miraculous recovery, his patience, strength and faith in God. Rolf’s resilience and undying passion for life is and inspiration to us all
